Washington, DC – The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace announced today that Jennifer R. Psaki will serve as its new vice president for communications and strategy.
Over the course of fifteen years in public service, Psaki has held a number of senior communications leadership positions, including most recently as U.S. President Barack Obama’s White House communications director, and as the U.S. State Department spokesperson under Secretary of State John F. Kerry. She is also a veteran of a number of successful campaigns at the state and federal levels, a former senior aide in Congress, and a fellow at Georgetown University’s Institute of Politics and Public Service.
“We’re living in an age of global disruption and tectonic change transforming both foreign policy and the way we communicate about it,” said Psaki. “Carnegie, bolstered by its team of talented experts doing groundbreaking work at centers around the world, is uniquely positioned to provide fresh insight and innovative ideas in this new marketplace. Psaki will oversee an award-winning team of communication professionals across Carnegie’s six global centers working with one hundred scholars in twenty countries looking to connect with thinkers and doers around the world who can help realize Andrew Carnegie’s vision of a more peaceful world.
